Convent & Stuart Hall (Convent Elementary School) is seeking excellent candidates for a Mathematics teacher for Grades 7 and 8 to teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra. This is a full-time, fully benefited position to begin by August 21, 2017.

Job Description and Qualifications

Convent Elementary School is a division within Schools of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco, serving girls in grades K-8. Convent seeks an experienced Mathematics teacher who is passionate about engaging, motivating and working with girls of this age and who will differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles. Candidates should be compelling educational practitioners who are have a strong math background and are confident in their capacity to create and deliver a dynamic and engaging curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ●  MA and/or valid CA Teaching Credential

  • ●  Relevant classroom experience (2+ years)

  • ●  Expertise in teaching math

  • ●  Excellent communication skills with both children and adults

  • ●  History of collegiality and collaboration with other teachers and administrators

  • ●  Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles

  • ●  Innovative, creative, and flexible teaching style

  • ●  Understanding of the developmental needs of girls at this age and how they learn best

  • ●  Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum and familiarity with electronic communication modes/tools

  • ●  Desire to actively support the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria
