Curtis Center Executive Director, Heather Dallas, was honored to join leaders from across California for the IMPACT 2025 Leadership Summit organized by the California Mathematics Council and sponsored by The Gates Foundation. The summit aimed to foster effective leadership in mathematics education by uniting partners, including educators, policymakers, and community members, to advocate for equitable and high-quality mathematics instruction for all students. In addition, participants met with California legislators. Director Dallas visited Assemblyman and Higher Education Committee Member Jeff Gonzalez’s office as well as Assemblyman, Asst. Majority Leader, and Education Committee Member Robert Garcia’s office offering thought partnership around issues impacting K-16 mathematics education.
