Abstract: Engage in a Grade 7 statistics lesson from the UCLA Gates Grand Challenge Applied Mathematics Mentorship Program (AMMP). In AMMP, South LA students research applied math problems from their community with mentorship by URM STEM professionals.

Abstract: Some waddle. Others jump. In this UCLA Curtis Center activity, we’ll observe how wind-up toys move. We’ll measure movements in fractional lengths and collect data from various wind-up toys to engage in the progression of 3.MD.4, 4.MD.4, & 5.MD.2.
